The Friends Tab is the first tab in [[Contacts Window]], the other being the [[Groups Tab]].

==Opening the Friends Tab==
When you use the [[Communicate Button]] to open the [[Contacts Window]], it opens to the Friends Tab by default. For various other ways to open these tabs, see: [[Contacts Window]].

==List of your Friends on the Friends Tab==

|align="left" valign="top"|The Friends Tab of the [[Contacts Window]] shows the list of your [[Friend]]s.

At the top of the list are the Friends who are online, as indicated by a small head to the left of the Friend's name.

To the right of each Friend's name the little checked squares indicate whether the Friend:
*Eye: can see when you are online
*Green dot: can locate you on the map
*Prim cube with arrow coming in: can edit, delete or take your objects
*Prim cube with arrow going out: you can edit, delete or take their objects

==Buttons on the Friends Tab==
When you click on the name of a Friend in the list, the name becomes highlighted in blue, and the buttons on the right will effectuate the following actions with respect to this Friend:
*'''IM/Call''': send an [[Instant Message]] to the Friend
*'''Profile''': open the Friend's [[Profile]]
*'''Teleport''': send an offer to [[Teleporting|Teleport]] the Friend to your present location
*'''Pay''': open the [[Pay Window]] to pay the [[Friend]] a sum in [[Linden Dollar]]s.
*'''Remove''': remove this [[Friend]] from your Friend list to stop being their Friend

There is one additional button at the bottom of the list:
*'''Add''': opens the [[:Image:Choose_Resident.JPG|Choose Resident]] Window so that you choose a new [[Friend]] to add to the list.
