__NOTOC__ All [[Group Member]]s obtain Group Titles, also known as "tags". Each title is associated with a specific role in the group ==Your Title Inworld is that of your Active Group== The Group Title you have in your [[Active Group]] appears above your [[Avatar Name]]. Your title in that group will therefore show above your Avatar Name, until you set a different [[Active Group]]. Any new group that you join will automatically become your [[Active Group]], and will therefore show in your Group Title. For how to change your Active Group, see: [[Active Group]] Note that if you want to have no title at all over your Avatar Name, just select "none" as your Active Group. ==Titles and Roles== Within each group there are [[Roles]] that have specific titles and permissions. Every newly created group contains three roles with default titles: The "Everyone" role has the default title of "Member" The "Officer" role has the default title of "Officer" The "Owner" role has the default title of "Owner" The titles of these three roles can be changed, for example the title of the "Everyone" role can be changed from "Member" to something that better expresses the nature of the Group. However, the name of the Officer role only can be changed, the other two are always named the "Everyone" role and the "Owner" role. Seven additional roles can be created, and each additional role can have its own title. Each role within a group can be assigned permissions, called [[Abilities]] To see the Roles assigned to each [[Group Member]], and the [[Abilities]] assigned to each role, open the "Members & Roles" tab of the [[Group Information Window]]. ==Change your Active Title within a Certain Group== You may have several roles within a certain group, but only one of those titles is active at a given moment. To change your title within the group: *Open the [[Groups Tab]] of the [[Contacts Window]] and select a Group by clicking on its name *Click the "Info" button to open the [[Group Information Window]] *At the bottom of the "General" tab in the [[Group Information Window]] there is a drop down menu called "My Active Title" *Open the drop down list and click on a title to select it as your Active Title within the Group ==See Also== *[[Group]] *[[Active Group]] [[Category:Friends and Groups]]
