View source for Interface Window

The controls in the basic [[User Interface]] are grouped in the [[Menu Bar]] along the top of the screen and in the [[Toolbar]] along the bottom of the screen. This leaves the entire central screen free for viewing the [[World]].

However, Second Life also provides a great number of Interface Windows which can open inside the viewing area. The present article:

The Interface Windows can be '''opened''' by:
*Clicking on the corresponding entry in the [[Drop-Down Menu]]s or in the [[Menu Bar]] (for the Land Information Window) 
*Clicking on the corresponding button in the [[Toolbar]]
*Clicking on the corresponding button in another open Interface Window
*Right-clicking anywhere [[Inworld]] (for the [[Pie Menu]])
*Pressing on the corresponding combination of keys on the keyboard 

The Interface Windows can be '''moved or resized''' by:
*To '''move''' window: press-and-hold with the mouse at the top of the window, move the mouse, then release
*To '''resize''' window: grab the edge of the window by press-and-hold with the mouse, move cursor, then release

Certain sets of Interface Windows are '''docked''', which means they are attached together. See [[Docked Windows]] for how to separate them so that they can be viewed simultaneously.
