Active Group

While you can belong to a maximum of 25 Groups, you can only have one Active Group at a time.
Which group you have active can influence abilities that you may have Inworld, such as whether you can create objects on group owned land.
Also, the Group Title you have in your Active Group appears above your Avatar Name, so you may want to change your Active Group just to change your Group Title.

To see which Group is your Active Group
To see which Group is your Active Group:
- Open the Groups Tab of the Contacts Window (for various ways to do this, see: Contacts Window
- In the list of Groups, the Active Group is highlighted in purple

To change your Active Group
To change your Active Group:
- Open the Groups Tab of the Contacts Window (for various ways to do this, see: Contacts Window
- Select a Group in the Groups Tab by clicking on it, so that it becomes highlighted in purple
- Click the "Activate" button in the Groups Tab

To have no Active Group
Note that if you want to have no title at all over your Avatar Name, just select "none" as your Active Group.
